About

Toni Petniunas is a long-time writer, short-time teacher living and griping in California.

She spent over 40 years writing and producing video marketing materials for the likes of Sony, Warner Bros., Disney, Paramount, Orion, Hemdale films, CBS news, Chevron, Microsoft and even (much to her chagrin) the Regan Library.

Toni hates selling things. Hence the griping. (And why am I speaking in the 3rd person now? Have I suddenly become the queen or something? Of what? Are there honors and treasure? Must I wear a hat?)

Sorry. Forget this. I’m going to bio out in regular English now.

After a rather stressful two decades as a single mother working in Hollywood and raising a thoroughbred horse, a bunch of cats and an extremely tall son, I wanted to begin helping people rather than picking their pockets. So I earned a TESL certificate and moved to a smoggy industrial town in China to teach English at a University.

The comically disappointing results of this noble effort can be found in “China: Morons Like Us.” I continue to teach English to adults for the Los Angeles Unified School District, worthy of a chapter in itself.

My next book is already in progress. If you are a publisher and wish to grant me untold riches for completing it, I am so in.

I am currently restoring an abysmal wreck of a house to something like ecologically sound principles and navigating the peculiar new world of online media marketing, an inescapable evil in my life it would seem.

My previous books, “Toni’s Evil World, Part 1: Men,” and “The Great Cassandra,” are unavailable, and were not marketed at all because I was too busy changing diapers. (So sue me. You try it.) I may dust them off and put them up for sale in the near future. Er…the books, not the diapers.

Warning: Anyone who wishes to seriously inquire about my work should go to http://www.http://talktotonip.com/ It’s a lot less fun but a lot more informative.
